No longer to be seen as Cinderella qualifications, NVQs are now highly regarded tickets to the ball

Abbie Wightwick describes a new initiative to put Level 3 vocational qualifications on an equal footing with A-Levels by also having a NVQ results day.

More than 8,000 students have worked hard in further education colleges for the past two years to achieve these qualifications in a wide range of valuable work-related fields.

This week Wales is taking a lead in the UK by giving these vocational achievers their own designated celebration day, akin to the annual day in the limelight that A-level students have enjoyed for generations.
